luisAs winter approaches and it gets colder outside, all tennis players should dress accordingly so they can continue to practice and get better. I suggest wearing several thin layers of clothing so you can take off small amounts as you warm up. If you have a large sweatshirt on over a t-shirt you will be going from one extreme to the other when you remove the sweatshirt and you may get really cold extremely quick.

The colder your hands are on the tennis court, the harder it’s going to be for you to maintain a good tight grip on your racket. So, wearing a pair of thin gloves can really help you here. Gloves will definitely increase the warmth in your hands and provide you with a stronger grip. Oh yea, and you’ll be able to feel your fingers too.

Last but not least, be sure to stretch a lot before you play and as you warm up. Your muscles will take longer to loosen up in the cold and you do not want to pull any muscles.
