JOB LOCATION: ASHBURN AREA, LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA
JOB TITLE: Tennis Coaching Professional
JOB TYPE: Seasonal /Hourly
PAY: $25.00 – $35.00 Hourly (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
ESTIMATED HOURS OF WORK: 5-6 days a week/ 6-10 hours shifts
DESCRIPTION
- Develop a tennis coach training program for new instructors coaching players from ages 5 to 17.
- Coordinate tennis lesson schedules, practices, and matches.
- Maintain an open communication, positive, constructive, and encouraging environment for the tennis coaches, players, and their parents.
- Teach adult groups and private tennis lessons.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Trains and supervises tennis coaches and provides training where techniques and specific rules are taught.
- Monitors lessons, practices, and matches at multiple locations to ensure the curriculum with general rules is followed.
- Provides daily instructions, feedback, and guidance to the assistant coaches.
- Maintains attendance.
- Listens to concerns, answers questions, and addresses coaches, players, and parents in a calm, fair and professional manner.
- Immediately reports problems, inappropriate situations, or behaviors to the Academy Coordinator.
- Assures that the site is kept neat and clean throughout the day, maintains supplies/equipment.
- Notifies the Academy Coordinator in advance of any schedule changes.
- Teaches Private Lessons and/or Adult Group Lessons.
- Attends required staff meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4.0 USTA level of expertise in tennis
- The candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a tennis coach.
- Minimum 2 years experience in having administrative responsibilities in a tennis academy or similar environment.
- Experience working with children ages 5 years to 17 years old.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates must pass a criminal background check.
- Candidates must pass Child Protective Services (CPS) check.
- Must be able to obtain USPTA certification.
- Reliable transportation.
- Punctuality.
